Integrate Addepar with your Trusted Family Platform

Easily integrate your Addepar account to generate reports directly from Addepar in Vault Manager and distribute to individual user vaults

Connect Addepar to Trusted Family

1. You must be an Organization owner to complete this step. Navigate to Organization Settings, and then click on Integrations tab at the bottom. There you will see different integrations available to connect, click the Connect button next to Addepar to initiate setup. From there, follow steps to authenticate with your Addepar credentials directly in Addepar.

In Vault Manager, match Addepar portfolio IDs to corresponding vaults

3. To complete this step, you must be a vault manager. Navigate to the Vault Manager feature in the lower left hand corner of the menu bar, and make sure you are on the Vaults view. From there, you will see a new column titled "ADDEPAR_PORTFOLIO_IDS."

4. Click on the cell in that column for any vault you want to map to Addepar. A dropdown lists your Addepar portfolios by name and ID. Once you have chosen the desired ID, you can close the pop-up.

5. Make sure you assign at least one (you can do more than one if you want) portfolio IDs per each vault you want connected to Addepar. You only need to do this step of assigning portfolio ID's once, every distribution after will inherit the mapping. And if you want to edit or remove IDs, you just need to click on the desired cell and follow the same process as Step 3.

8. From there in the pop-up, configure the report as desired. Once all details of the report are confirmed, click the button in the bottom right to Generate X reports.

Pro tip: As the Addepar reports are generating, you can continue to use the platform, edit Your Message, etc.,

9. When report generation is completed, each report is automatically placed in the vault that is mapped to its portfolio ID. Before distributing, you can open each PDF to verify it, choose to prevent downloading or add a watermark if desired, remove an individual report, save the entire distribution as a draft, or cancel entirely. But if you are satisfied and ready to place the reports into vaults, you can click the button Start Distribution to complete the process.

Disconnecting the Integration

10. If you ever wish to remove the Trusted Family integration with Addepar, simply navigate back to the Integrations tab of the platform Organization Settings. From there, select Disconnect next to Addepar.

What happens after disconnecting:

  • All mapped portfolio IDs and saved report names are removed from your Trusted Family platform.
  • No report data remains accessible until you reconnect.
  • You can no longer trigger Addepar report generation within Trusted Family.
  • Reports already generated stay in Trusted Family, whether they sit in a distribution draft or in a distribution to a vault that has already been executed.
