Interpreting your platform Statistics

Platform Statistics offer a new way to understand user engagement. You can now access metrics like user activity and traffic summaries right from the sidebar.

Start by navigating to the Statistics tab at the bottom left of your menu.

Platform Overview

Active Members:
This card displays the number of active members over the last year, 30 days, 7 days, and 24 hours. An active member is defined as a user who interacts with the platform by accessing a space, opening a file, or reactivating a browser tab.

Member Breakdown:

A pie chart visualizes the proportions of registered, invited, and created users who have not yet registered. This helps you understand the composition of your user base and track growth.

Login Method:
Displays login preferences (since July 2024), including methods like passwords, Google SSO, and email sign-in. Two-factor authentication is shown as an external circle around the pie chart, highlighting its role as an additional security layer.

Platform Trends:
The remaining cards provide detailed analytics based on the selected time period and granularity, such as daily, weekly, or monthly views. These include:

1. User analytics

Member Trends:
Examine changes over time in registered, invited, pending invitation and deleted members. The line and bar charts provide insights into community growth and user lifecycle.

Session and User Trends:
Observe patterns in platform access through trends in unique users and sessions. This highlights how often and how long users are engaging with the platform

Pro tip: You can change the display of your graphs by clicking on the different graph icons (shown on the picture above).

2. Content analytics

Content Creation and Engagement:
See the impact of content creation on user engagement. The combined bar and line chart shows the number of posts and files added alongside sessions, providing a correlation between content and engagement.

Space Activity Overview:
Dive into space-specific metrics such as files added, documents created, and user interactions, offering a clear picture of activity within different spaces.

3. Top Users, Posts and Content

Top Member Activity Overview:
Leaderboards showcase the most active users and their contributions, recognizing key contributors who drive engagement. 

Top Announcements by Interaction:
Highlight announcements that garner the most comments and reactions, emphasizing impactful communications within your community.

Top Posts by Interaction:

Identify posts with the highest engagement, sorted by comments and reactions. This helps highlight the content that resonates most with your audience.

Pro tip:
At the end of the year, some of the families we collaborate with reward the most active users on their platform! This is an excellent way to encourage engagement.
