You can set up your Two Factor either via SMS (Text) or a Third Party App
If two factor is required on your platform, then a window will open with two options for two-factor authentication (2FA) when you login to the platform. If you two factor is not required, you can still choose to activate it in your personal settings.
1. App Authentication
Download an authenticator app of your choice and connect it to your Trusted Family account. Use this app to generate a one-time code every 30 seconds, which you’ll need to access your account in the future.
2. SMS Authentication
Link your account to your mobile number. Gain access by entering the code sent to your phone via text message when you request an SMS code to sign in.
SMS Authentication Instructions
- On the Two-Factor Authentication popup click the Setup button
- Select your Country Code using the dropdown beside the phone field, then type in your mobile number
- Click Send verification code to receive a confirmation code via SMS (text message)
- Enter the code you received in the "Enter verification code" field and click Verify
- Once the verification is done, you will get a set of 12 recovery tokens. Make sure to download and save them to a safe location and not share them with anyone.
