Set up Vault Fields

Vault fields are a great way for vault managers to create unique identifiers to securely match files using the vault automation system

  1. Navigate to Vault Manager in the lower left hand corner of the menu bar, and then select the three dots "..." button in the upper right hand corner and then choose Vault settings

  2. Navigate to the Vault fields section of the bottom of the Vault Settings page, and select + Add field

  3. From here, you can create a new field that will be associated with each vault. You can use this field to come up with a unique identifier for each individual vault that is separate from the vault name. Once you have come up with a name for the vault field, select Create

  4. Now, you are ready to add unique identifiers in these fields for individual vaults. Navigate back to Vault Manager and click the three dots "..." in the upper right hand corner of a vault and then select Manage fields

  5. In the pop up, add the unique identifier code associated with that vault field and then hit the plus button + to the right of the code to add the association.

Tip:
You can add more than one identifier to a single vault field. And, you can have multiple fields across your vault management system to correspond with different unique identifiers for different use cases!
